This past weekend Alex and I celebrated 5 years of knowing each other... yay!

so I have decided to mark the occasion by writing 50 things about us... here goes....

1. we are best friends

4. he is messy
5. she has OCD

project life

tell me, has anyone else started a 2014 project life this year?

I finally decided I wanted to give it a go after hearing so many good things...

and so far I LOVE it! 

It is basically a really easy way to record and document your memories

and I love it gives you something to hold and look at that isn't on your phone or computer.

I am not a scrap booker by any means so this is the perfect level of 'craftiness' for me :)

you simply add photos and decorative cards to display pockets and wallah!

I wanted to include christmas of 2013 so that is where I have started

but I will have a 2014 title page up soon if you would like to see...

Bridal Shower

what's your signature?

Do you have a signature perfume?  I know a lot of people do.  

I have always been a Bobbi Brown Beach girl through and through.  

I just really love the thought of people being reminded of you when they smell a certain scent.

It can get a bit boring though when there are so may pretty perfumes to be bought!

I also love my daisy by marc jacobs when I want to change things up.

One of the things I love most about perfumes though is the bottle!  They can look great grouped together on a duchess or beside your bed... have a look at these lovely collections... I want one!

homesick

Two and a half years ago my husband and I moved to North Queensland as fresh faced education graduates ready to start our first jobs as teachers.  Fast forward to 2014 and we are still loving living here amongst the beautiful palm trees (even don't mind going troppo in the summer heat)... 

BUT I really miss my hometown of Brisbane and all the wonderful people in it.  

When we do make the decision to move back home it will be a hard one... so much has happened in this lovely little place... my favourite being OUR WEDDING!!

We got engaged and married up here so it will always be a special place for us.

Tell me, what do you do when you are feeling home sick?  I would love to know.

Just found out today that my long awaited wedding album has arrived from NZ!

The wonderful Andrew Rankin shot our wedding day 5 months ago now (gasp!) and I could not be happier with how the photos turned out.  It is such an important part of your day don't you think?  These photos are so special to me, and I love the thought of us cherishing them for years to come and showing our grandchildren one day :)  I shall put some album pics up very soon (stay posted!) but until then I thought I would share a few photos from the day.

Weekend Wishes

Happy weekend everybody!  I cannot tell you how happy I am to have two days off.  What is everyone up to?  We are having a quiet couple of days catching up on home projects and lying by the pool.  It is still hot here in the tropical North!
